I learned to read cards by listening to my mother speak to people on the phone and family members at the kitchen table. Along the way, however, there were other teachers that I listen to, read works of, and whose theories I incorporated with my own. Because of this experience, and because playing cards are so simple to pick up, shuffle, and lay down, I sharing a series of principal card meanings would be fun. Here is the first installment (enjoy;v):
The Two of Hearts
This is the card of Love and Affection along with Compatibility /Partnership and Romantic and/or platonic relationships.
It is the card of anticipation something new and wonderful coming like an engagement. It is a card of romance and child-like wonder. Like all 2's, paired W/ the Ace of Hearts it denotes- home, harmony, and pregnancy.
- Ex: If someone asks me, do you think my boyfriend will pop the question and I get a 2c,3c,10c spread. I would say definitely!! And, he'll probably do it on a date. 3c being the date card and the "Small Wish is Granted" card. 10c being a celebration or special occasion. 10c also denoting a wedding now or in the future, in combination with 2c indicating an engagement.
That said, if the question was will I pass my text". The answer would also be a big "yes" with this spread. I would tell the caller it looks like you love your subject and really have a good time with the material. I would tell them the it looks like you'll get your wish and will have cause for celebration.
The progression of the numbers indicates that the caller will happily be involved (in his/her field or with his/her mate for a quite a long time).
The 2 of Hearts can represent news, and specifically indicates a love letter, or good news from or about a loved one. The 2 of Hearts can also indicate a joyous union, or a happy solution to a problem.
2♥represents the emotions. Specifically, it is a card of emotional excitement and expectancy. It is the rush of excitement that a child feels on Christmas morning. It's the joyous anticipation of an expectant mother, and can specifically indicate a pregnancy, a child, or children in general.
- For example: If a Caller were to ask me if a relationship will work. With a 9c,9d,9h,6c,2h spread, I would say yes. But this relationship requires work. You have a lot to look forward to but the clubs here indicate working through problems, the need for communication (6c). That said diamonds followed by clubs always tell me that the person asking the question will have more stature (position) in the outcome. So - yes - but roll up your sleeve's and enjoy when the work is done.
Even more, 9's generally indicate achievement and success and duration (9c), furthering my impressions above.

So just to confuse you... the 2 of hearts also represents emotional attachment to a pet.The 2♥represents the elation one experiences with the first sparks of a physical attraction, and can denote a romantic fling. The 2♥denotes fun and laughter, and can indicate entertaining pastimes such as hobbies, games, crafts, etc.
The 2♥ also represents the creative power that is channeled through artists and musicians, and can denote a talent for the arts or music.According to older cartomancy meanings, the 2♥is also traditionally a card of time. It can indicate 2 days,2 weeks, 2 months, or 2 years.
Thats a ton of information, right?? Basically I know what the cards are trying to tell me by the question and also how the cards fall in relation to each other. 5h + 2h + 3s could be a date that goes wrong because of a 3rd party. Or it could mean an argument on a fun night out. Unfortunately, I'm not able to share how Spirit shows me the story and outcome... but they do, and that why I get calls from awesome people just like you:v))
