Creative Visualization or manifestation is a much oversimplified and often misunderstood process. Yet if we learn and master it, we can create amazing results in our lives and those we love.
As you have probably noticed, if you read my previous blogs, I am very realistic with visualization expectations. Can you improve your health with creative visualization? Absolutely! Can you bring love into your life or improve your existing relationship / marriage with creative visualization? Yes! Can you magically make all nuclear weapons disappear and manifest world peace tomorrow with creative visualization? No. Manifestations like that are possible only for God. However, you can work toward world peace, starting with your family.
Here are a few tips to remember when utilizing the power of creative visualization.
First: Choose one goalor desire, not several. Visualizing several goals will result in a scattering of energies that works against manifestation. If you have several goals, pick very different times of day to visualize them.
Second: Ask yourself what your motivation is for wanting the desired object or event. It is imperative that it not be wholly selfish. If you want to move to a new location, is it because you desire better schools for your children or because you want to cause your In-Laws grief? Any selfish or destructive motive will work against you.
Third: Evaluate whether you are worthy. Have you worked toward that new relationship? Have you worked out, improve your body image and endeavored to be more charming?
If you want a new job, have you studied your chosen profession? Have you qualified for a new pay rate?
Benjamin Franklin's adage of "God helps those who help themselves," applies here.
Forth: You must visualize what you want, vividly, as though it already existed! You must do so for five to ten minutes a day, with your eyes closed and placing yourself in the visualization, third person.Make sure to get all your emotions involved; feel the closeness, intimacy, pride, effectiveness or whatever matches your visualization.
You must visualize only what you want, without telling God how to manifest it. You, as a human, cannot know all of the variables involved in taking a trip to Europe, for example. You might insist that you need the money to take the trip while God knows you can win a contest and go for free!
Fifth:Let it go! After vividly visualizing what you want you, let it go! God cannot give you what you want if it remains locked in your skull. When you finish your visualization, get up and do something else: I find that turning on TV news always instantly distracts me! Do not dwell on the object of your desire. If your thoughts drift back toward your subject, gently steer them to something else.
Sixth: Conduct yourself during your regularly daily duties "as though" you had what you desire, with a strong sense of confidence. Do not spend hours dwelling on the fact that your desire has not manifested yet. 8 hours spent dwelling on your lack will cancel out 20 minutes of a great visualization!
Seventh: Listen to your intuition carefully in the days of this process. Your intuition will make efforts to guide you in the direction you need to go. Don't be surprised if you find an "inner pull" to drive down an unknown street or contact someone whom you haven't in years and join a dating web site, for example.
Eighth: Visualize your goal once a day for a week and see what amazing things happen. And of course, let me know here on this blog as well.
These steps may seem complex at first. But as you master the process of visualization you will find it an incredibly valuable instrument in your metaphysical tool kit. :-)
