On February 14, 2014, a loving full moon in Leo enters our atmosphere to bring love and brilliance to our hearts. This is a Leo/Aquarius axis at 26 degrees depending upon the orb. This magnificent moon will light up the sky at approximately 6:53pm EST, and 3:53pm PST.
According to native tribal writings, the first full moon in February is known as the “Storm Moon or Snow moon” this is because severe weather patterns often cause difficulties for hunters and gatherers to move around as expeditiously. This is a perfect match to all the weather patterns that have hit the east coast and the jolt of snow and blizzard like conditions that have closed down businesses and caused problems on the roads.

Like everything that transmutes within a certain period of time, humanity also evolves. The full moon forces this evolution by creating an astrological gravitational orbit pull between the moon, Earth, and the Sun. As the moon shifts behind the Earth it appears to have an illumination cycle which is considered a “Waxing” stage. As the moon moves further behind the Earth the Sun’s glow will illuminate the visibility of the moon making it look like a large white spot in the sky. This gravitational pull affects the weather patterns which can result in high tides (great for surfing); hence humans and animals will also feel this pull, which can cause cantankerousness and high emotions. The full moon explains many activities that have been a trigger to events from human psychosis to romance. This is not a negative dissolution, rather a positive.
Bleeding and hemorrhaging is more likely during a full moon, so take care. This is the time to gather, ruminate and be grateful, and to work on prosperity and accomplishment. Love and romance go wild under a full moon, especially around midnight. In a full moon you may become highly detached, clear minded and aware of your own needs as well as the needs of others.
The powerful energy of the new moon will give us the clearness we need to find out if our thesis (awareness or a adjustment) is possible or if it is a denial which causes a reaction, and we begin to plant the seeds. As the moon orbits to support itself into a waxing moon we are reaching to solve struggles between thesis (ideas or a change) and antithesis (what we need to do to make it happen or what won’t work). This synthesis will allow the veracity to form new ideas while solving issues that do not work in our lives. In easier terms, we could end a chapter in our lives or even began a new one.
There is an emotional need to shine and be praised by others. Expressions of feelings may be in a childlike manner - either playfully or spectacularly. There is a natural tendency to be around children. Nurturing others by giving approval and inspiring them to be tough, brave and valiant is the key of Leo’s strength. There is also a desire to view a mother, or motherly figure, to be grandiose, outstanding or as an admired person, and look for freedom, warmness and strength in that relationship.
