Before a planet goes retrograde, it enters what it called the "shadow period" which is when the planet reaches the degree that it will retrograde back to later on.
Mercury will enter its Shadow Period this Thursday, Jan 23rd. This means that any problems with communications, electronics, and/or machinery/cars may begin this Thursday.
Pay attention to any car trouble or other problems that start on Thursday going forward until Mercury officially retrogrades on Feb 6th.
After Mercury goes retrograde on Feb 6th - little problems with communications and traveling may turn into bigger ones.
