The Emperor card. Well, we certainly know who's in charge here. The man or person, since major arcane cards can represent either male or female, sits on top of the world they have created. The stone throne represents the sturdy foundation he or she has built. The moon and sun seem to be waiting for his word to rise or set. The throne is topped with two ram's heads, the sign of Aries, indicating strength, intelligence and leadership. The Emperor uses logic and reason to build, however, her realizes that logic can benefit greatly from messages intuitively brought from the other side or within hence the raven perched on the throne.
He is a man of vision, not daydreams. His empire is created now he must rule over it wisely. He needs to be cautious lest he becomes a tyrant. Thrones can also be traps. For example, creating a kingdom is one thing, ruling and keeping priorities straight is something else entirely.
This card is about you being in control. You are, or at least you should be in control of your life, your body, your temper, actions and your environment. It's also telling you, and you alone, should be in charge of your life. You have permission to be strong, bold, brave and assertive.
A word of caution if reversed, you are becoming a tyrant, lording your power over others simply for the sake of being in charge. You could be pushing yourself too hard and ignoring your heart or your body. It can be an achievement that you have worked hard for but now it has become cumbersome and oppressive.
