The word ingress comes from the Latin ingressus, to 'go in' or 'enter'. The chart of the Aries ingress is drawn for the moment that the Sun enters the very first minute of that sign, which is the beginning of a new cycle for the Sun. A general rule in traditional astrology is that if the ascendant of the ingress chart is in a moveable (cardinal) sign the chart remains valid for three months only, and it is necessary to draw further charts for the Sun's entry into Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. If the ascendant is in a common (mutable) sign the chart remains valid for six months, and the Sun's ingress into Libra should be used for the remaining half of the year. If the ascendant is in a fixed sign, however, the chart remains valid for the whole year.

Looking back to the Aries 2013 Ingress (see previous article about the Aries Ingress here) we find mutable angle

Traditionally this means that the Aries Igress chart was only in effect for six months and that means that it's influence ends when the Libra Ingress chart on Sept 22nd 2013 begins.I am looking at the Ingress charts with the location of New York City and this ingress is about U.S. affairs only. There will be strong similarities but also important differences with ingresses set in other cities/countries.
The Ascendant at 10 degrees of fixed sign Aquarius is next to (but not exactly on) a critical degree for fixed signs (9 degrees) but we do find the traditional ruler of Aquarius, Saturn at 9 degrees of Scorpio, another fixed sign and exactly on a critical degree.
A critical degree shows a crisis of some kind erupting but one that will be resolved quickly. Just before this eclipse, when Saturn hit the N.Node, in the U.S. a crisis with Syrian chemical weapons, a mass shooting on a naval yard, and fires on the N.J. boardwalk which was just recovering from Hurricane Katrina less than a year ago.
With the critical degrees in this Libra Ingress, we may have more crisis break out that deal with: foreign relations, law, universities, travel, the internet, publishing, religion, and shipping.
