Happy Holidays!
My daughter said to me last night " mom i really don't want this holiday to end "
I told her it is not over. Have you ever listened to the lyrics of Home For The Holidays? It is not called "Home For The Holiday"
It has been a wonderful day for our family. This whole Covid thing has made us realize what is most important.
Usually Christmas is sooooo damn stressful and all the craziness leading up to it just to wind up bawling before the day is over from being TOO stressed out.
This year it was nothing like that and the kids were so super appreciative too..
One of ours is super spoiled. He is the baby compared to his 2 teen siblings and he gets everything. It is something I do since I am 52 and have had my tubes burnt to a crisp when he came out wailing. The realization of not having another child tends to make me spoil him more. The other two are older they understand.. sorta :)
Anyways, our day was great. The love was good and we had a little snow.

"It is in the act of giving that we find joy, without the expectation of anything in return.
Since giving and receiving are so intimately intertwined in our lives, we often expect that we can attract abundance by simply conducting ourselves in an openhanded fashion. Yet we find ourselves wallowing in disappointment when our ample generosity is not met with the expected results. The answer to this quandary lies in the expectations that, in part, initially prompted us to give. Though our intention is likely pure, we can unintentionally mar the beautiful experience of giving by focusing on what we will eventually receive in return. When we let go of the notion that we deserve to receive gifts based on giving gifts, bounty can once again flow freely in and out of our lives.
When the gifts you give are laden down with expectations, they cease to be gifts and become units of exchange that you are, in effect, trading for some reward. You may have seen this simple truth at work in your own experience, perhaps when life's busyness prevented you from spending too much time contemplating the results your charitable actions would ultimately have on the lives of others. To integrate this most selfless form of generosity into your life, you will have to let go of your need to be in control. Giving eventually becomes a profound joy that stands alone, separate from any and all conditions, and you will learn to appreciate the flow of reciprocal abundance as a gift in and of itself."

last full moon of the year falls in Cancer on December 29th. The
lunar peak will occur around 10:38PM, EST.
Cancer or the 4th house relates to home and family, and during the holidays our thoughts typically turn to family, whether we are able to be with them or not. Cancer is typically warm, comforting and associated with home, security, safety, the past and all of our intimate feelings for others.
The ruler of Cancer is the Moon, and like the moon our feelings can fluctuate during this time. This may not be a problem for the Water signs, but it can be more difficult for those born under Fire and Air signs. At times Cancer can become too passionate and feeling and the intensity can overwhelm us or we could become impatient with others. For those born under Cancer, or who have a Sun or Moon in this sign these feelings will be no big deal, but for others there is a good chance things can get too dramatic or intense at times over the next two weeks. If this is the case, let things go as we may long for the warmth and safety of Cancer over the long, cold winter.
The Sun makes a positive sextile to Uranus creating feelings of excitement, intuition, change and freedom. This is the time to make plans, look at new ways of doing things. It can also make for an interesting holiday weekend.
Mars is still in a square with Pluto, although these two malefic planets are separating. TRADITIONAL INTERPRETATION
Your future teeters on a thin line between prosperity and disaster. Any decision you make now may well affect your life forever, but leaving things as they are will only make affairs worse. Do not act rashly; consider plans carefully before rushing into disaster. Calamity may well be prevented only at the very last moment.

Each day I sit down, take up the cup of sticks and ask the same question, “What does the Keen community need to know or hear today?” I shake the cup until a stick (or 2 or 3…) falls out. I then post the stick number and the meanings for you to get what you can out of them.
The sticks themselves are a form of I-Ching. There are a total of 64 sticks in the set that I use* with a poem and small interpretation/story to go along with each stick. The poems, meanings and reflections are meant to be read and (as a good friend of mine once said) marinated in. In our culture, we’ve grown accustomed to getting instant gratification. In other words, we’re used to everything being given to us with little or no work on our parts. These readings are the exact opposite of that type of attitude.
Chinese Fortune sticks are meant to make us slow down and reflect on what is being said. As each sticks’ meaning can be profoundly personal to each person who reads them, it’s more important for you to read them rather than have someone give you a watered down version. These readings are meant to sing to a level of your consciousness and bring you a measure of peace, or at least enlightenment.
The best way to get the most you can out of these readings is to approach them with an open mind. Before sitting down to read that morning’s reading, make some quiet time for yourself. Sit still for a moment and clear your mind. Silence the chatter in your head and take a few deep breaths, letting them out slowly. Once you feel yourself slow down a little (or a lot), read through the reading of the day. Go over it a few times if you feel the need. Then take a moment, sit back and think about what that reading means for you. Some will be very straightforward; others require a bit more thinking. Either way, let the reading from the sticks guide you that day on the decisions or experiences you have. These aren’t meant to tell you what to think, but rather to help you look at things in a different way or to allow you to access truths you already have.
