Each day I sit down, take up the cup of sticks and ask the same question, “What does the Keen community need to know or hear today?” I shake the cup until a stick (or 2 or 3…) falls out. I then post the stick number and the meanings for you to get what you can out of them.
The sticks themselves are a form of I-Ching. There are a total of 64 sticks in the set that I use* with a poem and small interpretation/story to go along with each stick. The poems, meanings and reflections are meant to be read and (as a good friend of mine once said) marinated in. In our culture, we’ve grown accustomed to getting instant gratification. In other words, we’re used to everything being given to us with little or no work on our parts. These readings are the exact opposite of that type of attitude.
Chinese Fortune sticks are meant to make us slow down and reflect on what is being said. As each sticks’ meaning can be profoundly personal to each person who reads them, it’s more important for you to read them rather than have someone give you a watered down version. These readings are meant to sing to a level of your consciousness and bring you a measure of peace, or at least enlightenment.
The best way to get the most you can out of these readings is to approach them with an open mind. Before sitting down to read that morning’s reading, make some quiet time for yourself. Sit still for a moment and clear your mind. Silence the chatter in your head and take a few deep breaths, letting them out slowly. Once you feel yourself slow down a little (or a lot), read through the reading of the day. Go over it a few times if you feel the need. Then take a moment, sit back and think about what that reading means for you. Some will be very straightforward; others require a bit more thinking. Either way, let the reading from the sticks guide you that day on the decisions or experiences you have. These aren’t meant to tell you what to think, but rather to help you look at things in a different way or to allow you to access truths you already have.

Lunar eclipse in Gemini: Truth, lies and consequences
The full moon falls on November 30th
and this is a lunar eclipse at 8 degrees of Gemini. Eclipses are like light
posts, showing us the path to the future and where we are going. As we approach an
eclipse energies start to build, information, and events relating to the
eclipse begin to occur often in the days before the eclipse. Events can happen
before, during and after an eclipse which has a powerful life span of at least
30 days and usually much longer.
As the Sun opposes the Moon during a lunar eclipse emotional energy can get out of balance, too intense and many people start to get thrown off balance or upset without even knowing why. This occurs most often in family and close personal relationships. Eclipses can bring good or negative events depending on what it touches in your chart. Things can be eclipsed in or out of your life, and eclipses frequently bring surprises.
In astrology Gemini rules travel and trips as well as communication of all types, children and young people. Gemini, ruled by Mercury typically concerns all of these things, but especially communication. This is one of my favorite ways to get direction from Great Spirit and the Angels. ![]()
Anyone can do it.
It is your divine right. We are all part of, and connected to, the divine.
When you have a situation you do not know the solution too, or are not sure which path to take, just ask for a sign.
I use prayer to ask for my signs, just because prayer is what works best for me. You can ask in anyway that is comfortable for you. You can ask for a sign out loud, whisper your request, or state it firmly in your mind.
Your angels will hear you.
I do have to warn you, you may not like the answer you get. Please be sure you are ready to know the answer before you ask.
The Angels will do their best to help you in anyway they can. If you ask for something will bring it too you. Please be open to the answer they bring, their only desire is to help you.
Most of my signs come to me from the animal world. A feather in in the road means I am on the right path. An unexpected visit from squirrel means I need to start saving my nuts (money) for a rainy day. Flies around me mean there is someone suspicious near me. Crows, mean change. The more crows, the bigger the change. My angels give me signs from the animal kingdom, because they know that is where I keep my lookout for signs.
Your Angels know you just as well, and will use means in your daily life to bring you a sign. A name on a license plate, phone call out of the blue with some helpful advice (Spirit often works though people). An overheard conversation by two strangers.
You really never know.
But, if you ask, the sign will come.
The hard part is being open to the answers. If you have a block here, the key is to have an open mind. Also, remember that all Angel messages come from a place of love.
The more you ask, the more signs you will receive from your Angels. Once they know you are listening, they will try to communicate with you more.

Although you can receive financial flow from this, the deeper, more meaningful reward is your free and full expression, feeling your power to create, and the energy and connection you receive as a result.
Emotional Health & Happiness: Your sense of inner harmony, joy, and peace. Your inner foundation of self-love. Your balance, stability, and capacity to respond from a centered place on the inside.
Beloved Relationships: The intimate relationships in which you are seen, supported, and loved unconditionally. They can include life partners, soul friends and family, children, and furry four-leggers. The only rule is that there is a mutual love and respect, which makes it safe to have them close to your heart.
Tribes, Friends & Colleagues: The individuals — relatives, friends, and colleagues — you feel connected to and the groups and communities you choose to be a part of. These support your various interests and the different expressions of you.
Physical Health & Home: The strength of your life force and the overall wellness of your body. This includes your physical body, which houses your spirit, and the dwellings you live in that need to be your sanctuary. This is what gives you the energy and resilience to “do” your life and be radiant within it.
Financial Flow & Wealth: The flow of money and resources that enable you to feel sustained on the material plane, receive what you need, and care for yourself and those you love. This also includes the financial reserves that support you to weather the ebbs and the unexpected, and embrace opportunities when they arise. This is living a lifestyle that is maintainable and sustainable.
Look back at the Harmony Wheel and you’ll notice the following:
The bottom — Tribes, Friends & Colleagues; Physical Health & Home; and Financial Flow & Wealth — forms your foundation. When these realms are strong and in harmony, you feel supported and connected on the material plane. This gives you the confidence, courage, and space to soar and expand in what you give through your work, creativity, and self-expression. When these are weak or imbalanced, it’s much harder to be open to new possibility, focus on your personal growth, do things that don’t “make money,” give generously, grow new ventures or existing businesses and organizations, or excel in your work and career.
The center — Emotional Health & Happiness and Beloved Relationships (your most intimate relationships) — forms your heart line. When strong and in harmony, these realms keep your heart open and your inner life stable. You feel deeply supported and connected because you are receiving love and acceptance — from others and yourself — and experiencing a sense of belonging. Rooted in the strength of your self-love and self-worth, this heart line keeps you steady and stable when other parts of your life get wobbly or intense. When these are imbalanced, you feel wobbly on the inside."
