Generally, I do not like change unless I specifically initiate it. I imagine that most people don't like changes that they have not signed on for. But, in looking back over my life...I see that so many unbidden changes were gifts from God - new doors opening, new ventures, new people, new possibilities. Had I resisted, and not embraced these New Beginnings, I would not be the person I am today. I would not have had the experiences that have shaped me or met the souls who have become integral components of my life.
That old saying that one door has to close for another one to open holds so very true as the Angel of New Beginnings makes her way into our lives. Jobs or relationships may be lost for no apparent reason, and the road not taken may have to be taken out of necessity. All of these endings, no matter how painful should be seen as blessings. Of course, it may not feel that way at first, so one is entitled to some mourning. But always keep in the back of your mind and heart, that New Beginnings are afoot. There is a different chapter to be written now. Looking back, it is easy to see how all those new beginnings fell into place, and how beneficial they were. It is just so much more difficult to front-load our acceptance of them.
So, be aware of the closings and openings of doors right when they occur. Pray and wait to be shown the newest path, the fresh chapter, the gift of the Angel of New Beginnings.
