I believe you have rectified his chart and believe he is a Cancer?

Yes, after watching his interview and learning about him, his patriotism, I felt he was more Cancer-ish. What do you think?

I think there is a definite possibility that you could be correct. Cancer is about patriotism, one of many marked traits, and I believe Snowden believes he is doing the right thing. He has some very strong opinions of right and wrong.

I have a hypothesis about Cancer and I wondered what you thought . . . Cancer women tend to criticize their mother while Cancer men tend to criticize the government . . .

I hadn't thought about that one. The Mother relationship can be very important to a Cancer. Perhaps men see the government as the patriarchal figure. And by the way the US is a Cancer Sun sign.

Yes and Julian Assange of wikileaks is also a Cancer sun!

Yes, he is. Another patriot, although not everyone sees it in the same way. But, in his soul he is a patriot with strong beliefs as well.

And they get lots of publicity which is also ruled by Cancer - Moon, people like Cancers

Now for the dark side: Edward Snowden has Moon in Scorpio!
A moon in Scorpio is very deep, there is nothing shallow about it It can also be dark.
Scorpios are very private You need to be psychic to know what they are up to.

They can be secretive and operate in the dark from everyone else, as is obviously the case with Snowden

Scorpios are also intensely loyal and disciplined. It would take a lot for him to turn on his employer/country.

Which brings us to the possibility that he was compromised in some manner, there is a lot of transiting Neptune in his chart

Mars opposing Neptune individuals
can be misled or they can mislead as well. I always say they have their own way
of thinking that does not generally fit the norm.
They often feel they have been shafted in some way, and sometimes that is true. But their own thinking can be self defeating in some way as well. Mars-Neptune is a complex configuration in any chart.

One thing is for sure, he thinks a LOT with Mercury, Mars in Gemini opposed Jupiter/Uranus in Sagittarius

His lack of earth may be somewhat compensated for by exalted Saturn in Libra conj Pluto

But, he has several oppositions in Gemini-Sag, especially if he is indeed a Gemini This planets represent the 3rd-9th house axis of speech and communication/ideas. This is what dominates his chart and his life.
and with Venus in Leo, he doesn't mind a little attention

He also has a Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Libra

it is no surprise that his information comes to light on the Uranus-Pluto square which dominates the sky. This was-is his destiny to reveal this information

He has some difficult transits coming up..

Neptune will square Uranus in his chart. I have actually seen this in some of the dictators that have gone underground on the run.
It shows they will be dealing with unfamiliar people and circumstances and a very unclear future.

Neptune squaring all of those
planets in Gemini/Sag will confuse issues, make him paranoid, and possibly
become an idol in the future
and of course Saturn will conjunct his moon--we cant say exactly when without a time of birth-perhaps now.
This is generally associated with depression and isolation to name a few.

A difficult time, separation from family, which if he is a Cancer, would take a toll on him.
