Do What You Need to Do Until You Feel Better

If you need to drink that coffee in the morning, then do so. I know, I know, they say it's not good for you. And it's really not that good for you, actually. But so long as the doctor hasn't banned it from your regime, then drink your coffee. It will get you through the day easier. Eventually you may get to the point where you don't need the caffeine.

If you want to eat that chocolate, then eat it. Eat it with relish, make sure you enjoy it. You don't have to eat the whole pack, although you may want to. But for gosh sakes, have a bite. Compromise by drinking a glass of water and maybe a 10 minute wild and crazy aerobic dance to your favorite song. Make it fun, don't think you have to run down to the gym and work that chocolate out lest you feel like a guilty porky pig!

If you don't want to speak to your mother in law about her spider veins today, then don't.  If you don't want to listen to your sweet but down in the dumps friend about all her problems, then hang up. You need to attend to your happiness before you can attend to anyone else's.

Do what you need to do. When you are stressed, denying yourself of life's simple pleasures will weigh you down, you don't have to be so extreme. Instead, write down a list of things you really want to accomplish and stick to them. But in the mean time, if you are having a rough day, drink your coffee. Kick the little habits later after you've kicked the big ones.
