This blog is titled,"There is Only Now" because the present moment is the most important part of your life. The universe doesn't care about the past or future, it cares about the present moment. Everything you have accumulated vibrationally is with you in the present moment, and at any given moment you can begin to let go of negativity you have accumulated as well as attract positivity to you.
But it is all moment to moment.
The idea of meditation is not to achieve zen or force yourself into a state of spiritual mastery where you are this "pure" person(no such thing as pure or impure), but for you to get into ALIGNMENT. Alignment is the state of being in harmony with yourself, which is reflected in your vibration.
The universe cares only about your vibration. It seems cruel, but it is actually very fair to you because it gives you most control. Meditation is a great way to stay in the present moment and align your vibration. But if you have trouble meditating in the traditional way, that's alright. Get up and dance, sing, eat, whatever you love to do. Just choose something simple that requires little thought, and stay in the moment.
When you begin to feel your worries fade and you achieve a state of peace, that is when you should start saying affirmations such as ,"I am attracting positivity! I am pure positive energy! My life is going great, all that I need is coming to me right now! I allow abundance in right now! Archangel Micheal(or whatever master you choose), please help me release negativity!"
Eventually you will get to the point where it is easy to align yourself, and you will then be able to sit down and meditate in the traditional way. You'll have let go of the resistance to sitting down and meditating. But in the mean time, just know that meditation really is just being in the present moment and allowing good feelings to come in, which raises your vibration, in turn attracting positivity. If you can do that while dancing or eating, while exercising or painting or what have you, then that is a great start.
