More so, I've noticed that it's getting harder to find all the special qualities you'd like in a partner, ALL in ONE PARTNER. For example, make yourself a "Must Have List" of what you desire in your dream spouse.
let's keep it simple with just three and common commendable traits and go with...
1. Honesty
2. Physical Attraction
3. Ambition/Drive
I'm seeing more often than not, what's happening; especially with you ladies, is your finding one or maybe two of the three traits you'd like to have in someone who you're romantically involved in.
DATE # 1 has ambition and drive and would never lie to you but he/she isn't your first choice physically.
DATE # 2 you are physically attracted to but he/she has no drive, ambition, and would lie about anything from thier profession to where they really were or who they were really with.
DATE # 3 Has ambition, has drive, is physically attractive, but you're not so sure you can trust him/her just yet.
SO WHAT DO YOU DO????
I'll tell you first what you DON'T DO. Don't continue giving yourself the run-around, debating which quality you can spare to give up.
What you SHOULD DO, is evaluate quickly and make your first gut decision and stick to it. If someone is 1/3 on the list you made, don't give it another thought. OR if it's maybe someone who is 2/3 and even that third quality can potentially be fixed or worked on. you TALK.COMMUNICATE.SPEAK TO ONE ANOTHER. Is the conversation your about to have with this person worth it to you? No one likes being told they aren't being ambitious enough but is the person you care for worth having that unpleasant conversation.
I RECOMMEND MAKING A LIST OF "FIVE MUST HAVE'S"
If at least 4 of those aren't solid enough for you. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. DON'T SELL YOURSELF SHORT. DON'T SETTLE. SETTLING WILL PROBABLY LEAD TO FUTURE SETTLEMENTS, if you feel me...
