If you feel like you can't cope anymore, or that everything in your life is taking a giant release in the toilet bowl of your "life" then be aware that you're opening yourself up to emotional fatigue, spiritual imbalance and likely the very things you're worried about.

In China the character that is written to be translated as the English equivalent is made up of two separate characters, which are words themselves-one being fear, danger or calamity and the other being opportunity, chance and pivot.

All of us have or will experience crises, some major, some minor, some of us often, others only once in their lives. It varies for each of us and largely it varies on what our spiritual journey is in this lifetime and on this plane of existence.

The universe is united by a force, we are all inter connected some of us ascribe the names God, Allah, Vishnu, Buddha, Mother Earth, Father Sky or _________(fill-in-the-blank). Some of us don't even believe in the existence of anything beyond out physical body (although science has already proven that with physical death spiritual atoms are released from the body and go somewhere).

The reality is within all of us a piece of this creator, master and guide lives, to tap into this being is to experience the real and full meaning of life, the eternal happiness, moving beyond the simple appeasement of fleeting pleasure we get on the few days a year when things really "go our way" and then we're instantly brought back to not being happy, the reason being we have new thing we want or are worried over.

Our truest and purest moments of happiness are typically when we get something we've been desiring for, a person, an item, an event, the list goes on. These same moments are very temporary in their experience, fleeting typically because once we have what we want then it's replaced by a new want.

When something bad happens it takes over all of our sense of self, frequently consuming even the "strongest" of people. The problem with this is it does nothing, it's the negative in the universe (the Devil/Satan/EVIL/Bad) trying to make your life fail, he or IT wants you to fail, it wants to bring you down to misery it wants you to quit, it wants you to accept its nasty results.

The reality is that you can handle anything and everything that you experience, every calamity is indeed a gateway to soul growth and a better, newer, fresher you in this lifetime. You will always end up in a better place even if you must hit the lowest of lows in your life before you get there. The trick is that if you refuse to accept and TRUST in this then it will never happen, it will be fleeting forever and ever. There will always be a worry within you, there will always be desires "needing to be filled".

People who are Buddhist or Taoist believe that to have true happiness we must deny our wants, thus many of them live the altruistic life of a monk. There belief being that by denying our wants, by not pursuing that person, by not buying that car, by not eating that doughnut we are in essence able to be happy continually in this life with what we have.

They go further into this by having very little, I have spent time in a Tibetan Monastery on two separate 10 day trips, in both of them we ate rice and greens grown there. At both silence was seen as a way to communicate to one and other our love and connection, meditation was used as a way to move beyond our "self" and to merge with the universe.

In denying your wants it is very easy to find happiness. I believe this is why so many people end up pursuing eastern religions from the west, because it's so different from what we're taught in our environment and society, the denial of materialism and superficiality and so instantaneously rewarding (10 days gets you there, no matter how shallow of a person!)

Moving back to "crises" the reality is the being that lives within all of us needs to be tapped into in these moments, rather then complaining, wallowing in pity, aganizing in anxiety, you MUST, I repeat MUST release your concern and KNOW and TELL yourself that you CAN HANDLE THIS.

The Key to life is knowing that everything that happens, irregardless of how horrible it is (losing a loved one, a national disaster, a romantic loss, job loss, major illness, et cetra) is happening to you because the divine, the love of the universe, the creator of your being has a plan for you that involves it and that something is you WINNING. That's right, it's in your living the life you want, the Divine wants to and will provide this, but not without you tapping into the Divine.

You can handle it in other words, God/Allah/Buddha/______ is real and is really going to protect you and move you in the right direction.

Nothing that happens to you is insurmountable, you may lose everything, your family, your home, your job, your freedom BUT if you believe you will re gain or move forward, if you acknowledge to yourself that God is with you and that you are being taken where you're going for a reason then you WILL SEE THE RESULTS.

YOU CAN HANDLE IT.
YOU ARE BLESSED BY THE DIVINE.
THE UNIVERSE IS INSIDE OF YOU.
BREATH.
MOVE FORWARD.
