Falling in Love With Tarot

You might prefer I didn't mention that Valentine's Day is fast approaching. It's a notorious sore spot for single people, but they can take comfort in knowing that February isn't always a picnic for couples either. Many women make it mean way too muchd while most men resent being told how and when to express their affection. Valentine's Day is of course very commercial, but it does have a way of bringing relationship issues to light.

Many people go to a reader searching for love without ever thinking about what a successful relationship looks like. I don’t mean the physical characteristics of an ideal lover, or even descriptions of candlelight dinners or romantic walks beside a moonlit lake. What I’m saying is that love is not all soft lighting and pet names. To have a successful relationship you must be realistic about the long term and what it means to have a partner. You should never stop going on dates or expressing your love, but don't fall into the trap that love has to feel exactly the same as it did on day one.

Over nearly twenty years of Tarot readings I've noticed a lot of themes. When a client visits me at the start of an exciting relationship, when there are fireworks and butterflies, a lot of cups cards tend to show up in the reading. To let my cynical side run free for a moment, there are actually chemical reactions in the brain that take place when we are falling in love that just aren't their after we've settled in with a partner. When those sparks have faded there will be more of the other suits, and the cups thin out. This reflects the practical matters that just didn't matter during the first few dates. They might talk about how each person maintains their individuality, reflect financial concerns, or a host of other matters that might be mistaken for a loss of love.

Tarot can do many things to help you improve your love life.Tarot can give a new perspective on a relationship and provide information that is either hidden or being ignored. It can address self-esteem issues and pinpoint lessons to be learned from past relationships.Often Tarot illuminates options we didn’t even know we had.Tarot, above all else, will tell the truth and too many people who seek out a reader are not prepared to hear it. After investing months or years in a relationship it’s hard to admit that we’ve made a mistake. It’s easier to believe that the problems we are having are spontaneous and temporary and that we can fix them. I’ve seen too many clients close themselves off to new relationships because they cling to one that has ended or just plain isn’t working.

Some less than scrupulous psychics have made small fortunes by convincing the heartbroken that a long-gone lover can magically be returned without ever addressing why the relationship ended. Others say they can attract your one-true-soulmate as if one person out of seven billion will make you always and forever happy. Successful relationships are less about finding the "one". They involve a lot more work and honesty than some are willing to commit to.

This Valentine's Day, try thinking about partnership more than romance. To help you find success in love and stay realistic about relationship, my love and relationship readings will be 10% all week. If you are clear with your relationship goals and honest about your failed attempts, together we can find the ideal relationship for you.
