I am studying the personality of the introvert sensitive person, which I feel many people do not understand. This blog is to help you start to understand your own needs if you are one of these sensitive introverts. We are supposedly only 1/4 of the population.
We need more time to process our thoughts and often we cannot handle being around people who do not stop talking. I think you understand?
If you are one of these people, do you have to take more time alone? Do you notice having to leave group events early or start to avoid attending group events?
Do meetings stress you out ?
There are some ways to start getting your own needs met. Although it will take some doing.
We cannot change other people, yet we can start to voice our need for time to think.
If they start to get aggressive and you feel bullied or shut down, then you definitely need time.
I understand how discouraging these kinds of interactions can be, I can see that we all need to start to carve more time for our recovering from stress and facing these situations can fill one with dread. What has worked for you , if you are one of the quieter people?
How do you feel that being an introvert is an advantage?
All my life I have wondered why I do better in " One on One" situations and wonder why I feel invisible in groups.
Can this be " overcome" or do the " groups" need to stop ' hogging" the conversation and let the quieter thinkers have the " floor"?
Good question.
Any thoughts , comments , very welcome on my blog.
