Continuity gives us roots; change gives us branches, letting us stretch and grow and reach new heights. ~Pauline R. Kezer
If you would attain to what you are not yet, you must always be displeased by what you are. For where you are pleased with yourself there you have remained. Keep adding, keep walking, keep advancing. ~Saint Augustine
The Tall tree in the back yard is a lovely old gentleman. Bro oak has been rooted here for many years, scattering his acorns along the yard. Every year, I have to dig up the tiny seedlings coming from his fruit , transplanting it in the greenhouse, or in the yard where the roots can grow, spread without hitting the water pipes, or the garden. The beautiful tree in full leaves stand regal , spreading his leaves, over the heads in the hot air. The winds constantly change the leaves, blows them around, helping Bro Oak to continue to grow , reaching out as far as the eye can see. Still in all, as his limbs, his branches reach out higher, longer, the winds blow his leaves here and there, the strong tree stays rooted in place. Storms, waves, hits, do not shake the sturdiness of this tree. As we live our lives, we too, must stay rooted in our faith, sturdy in our beliefs, even when the changes hit, the winds, the waves beat us up, we need the continuity of our roots. We need to be displeased with how we are, never giving up on our dreams, even though we still stay rooted where we are . Return back to our roots, then allow changes to come, keep moving toward your goal, keep walking, keep advancing.
Animal totems: Osprey has huge spread of wings. She flies high above the problems, while holding on until we achieve our goal. His medicine is to stay committed, stay to the goal while allowing the winds to blow around him. He also can dive into the waters, to draw what helps us.
