True love is a lot of things.....

True Love is a much discussed often misunderstood topic and there are various definitions/perspectives to what it actually is. So much has been written on this subject, some even say true love is difficult to describe, it's all about the 'feeling' and can't be put into words. For me, love makes life even more worth living. To share, to understand, to connect, to feel is nothing but pure bliss. One of my favorite author is Dr. Maya Angelou and she writes: "First best is falling in love. Second best is being in love. Least best is falling out of love. But any of it is better than never having been in love".

True Love is a lot of things but it's NOT :

Insecure
Selfish

Inflexible
Revengeful
Playing Games
Unhealthily attaching
Fairytale
Lustful
Disrespecting yourself or others


True Love IS:
A little less self-serving, more Agape (selfless)
Secure
Being not so much giving and receiving
Open minded
Patient
Kind
Trusting
Honest
Non-judgemental. Commitment to love an imperfect person as they are
Committing to love a person even as they change with time
Respectful
Supportive
Understanding
Tolerant and devoted
Doing and showing more than just saying
Forgiving and letting go of grudges
Setting the other free if and when it is time.
