First a brief bio on Susan Atkins
BiographyAmerican homicide perpetrator. A hippie dropout product of the drug culture, she met and loved Charles Manson, joining his camp on the old Spahn ranch in Death Valley. She had a child, Zee Zo Zeze Zedfrack, father unknown, in 1968. On 8/09/1969, she joined in the ritualistic killing of five people, holding eight-month pregnant Sharon Tate while Tex Watson stabbed her to death. While in prison, she later had a "religious conversion" (1974), which she described in her 1977 memoir. She later began a prison ministry. In 1981 she was married for a few months to a Texan named Donald Lee Laisure who claimed he was a millionaire. He also claimed that she was his 29th wife, later saying that she was his 36th. She married again in 1987, this time to James Whitehouse, who subsequently became a lawyer. While in prison her health deteriorated. In 2008 she was diagnosed with brain cancer and underwent a leg amputation as well. Atkins died at age 61 on September 24, 2009 at a women's prison in Chowchilla, CA.

In Colscott's blog there is a list of 10 Similarities between Susan Atkin's criminal case and Amanda Knox. Below are the first three things they both did:
"1- An inability to STFU.- Atkins blew the TLB case wide open by blabbing to cell mates and later the Prosecution about the murders. Knox blew the case open by accompanying her fuck buddy to his police interview (she wasn't even expected) and when realizing that the alibi was blown, shooting off her mouth with both an incriminating confession and with a story trying to frame an innocent man for the actual killing.
2- Blood Money- Atkins sold her story of the murders to the LA Times and then published it as a quickie paperback THE KILLING OF SHARON TATE. It was self- serving and full of inaccuracies and sold poorly. Knox sold her story of the murders to Harper Collins which published it as a book called WAITING TO BE HEARD. Making a quick comparison between Susan Atkins and Amanda Knox's astrology charts there are even more similarities.
1. Planetary patterns both have Jupiter as the handle planet in a bucket formation placed near or in the 12th house of imprisonment.
2. Both have Saturn (traditional planet of death) in the 7th opposing their ascendants.
3. Both have air signs rising showing their need to talk and/or write about everything.
4. Both have Neptune in the 8th house indication mysteries and/or drug use surrounding death.
5. Both have Moons in fire signs showing an active and at times aggressive personalities.
6. Pluto (modern planet of death) closely aspects their Ascendant rulers (AK:Merc trine Pluto; SA:Saturn conjunct Pluto.)
7. Both have Mars in Leo - they like to be the center of attention.
8. Both have connections with Pluto squaring MC indicating death and transformation being a part of their destiny.
9. Both have 3 planets in fire signs in their 7th house of partners, dealings with others and litigation. Showing their problems (malefics in both cases) with others.
10. Both have the rulers of their 10th house of public reputation in the 7th house of others, showing their destinies were not in their own hands. They were caught, convicted and will be forever known for their crimes.
