I'm Bored Butt Busters

There are a minimum of nine muscles connected to your rear.  You may not realize it but the gluteus maximus is one of the strongest muscles in the human body and it is the largest. The hardest working muscle is the heart.  And, as a testament to balance in the universe the strongest muscle group based on its weightis the master. With all muscles of the jawworking together it can close the teeth with a force greater than 50 pounds.The smartest muscle is the eye. In an hour of reading a book the eyes make nearly 10,000 coordinated movements.You are asking how does this help me build a better butt? It doesn't But you said you were bored. Onward to the exercises...In no specific order:

If you can afford it I highly recommend one of those balls the big ones you sit on.  Just bouncing while you type, is a great way to achieve "lift" by minimizing the anterior (back) quadricep muscle.
Inline:

In you're not shy, do a minimized belly dance in addition to helping love handles and minimizing muffin tops dropping your shoulders will maximize the effort. Bonus points if you are holding your groceries, If you are shy just raising to you toes while holding heavy items like dogfood will work great

I know the preceding techniques are NOT appropriate for the place that may hold your mortgage.  Shifting side to side while controlling the "lowering" motion is a nonchalant way to work it.
Okay now for my lazy man approach (honestly it feels like cheating but if to Google isometrics you will see it based on honest science.. Remember those nine muscles I was talking about.  While you are bored, wherever you may be simply contracting and releasing each of these muscles will strengthen and tone..
