The angular houses (1,4,7, and 10) are the most powerful and beneficial houses in a natal chart. All of the angular houses are completely beneficial except for the 7th house, which is mixed in its influence. To have a strong 7th house can be positive and negative in a person's life.
As I wrote about in Cher's chart (read here) she has had many relationships due to the powerful relationship between her first house ruler and her 7th house ruler in the 1st and 7th houses of the chart.
The facets of life which fall under the seventh house domain include: marriage, spouse, business partner or any kind of partner, contracts, competitors, the general public and open enemies. Open enemies meaning people you are in public competition with or against in a way that is readily apparent.
How does an individual interact with all of the above? Does he/she react badly to competition and resort to underhanded attacks to undermine perceived threats? Or does the person actively engage in a healthy way with others and welcome the camaraderie and therefore work well with others who do the same activities? Will the person benefit from a good partner or spouse? Or will their marriages be fraught with contention and upheaval?
