The dark has engulfed this day again. Storms are brewing over the day; the clouds , the thunder rolling again. I am thankful that I ran out in time to get the spray bottles I had spray painting yesterday afternoon, left in the sun to dry. The little bottles I had ordered because I ran out of them still aren’t here, so improvising, I bought little trial size of hair spray, emptied the hair spray into one bit spray bottle, to paint over the Tre’some wording on the sides. Whew. I can get that order done today. Little irritants such as this pop up all the time in all our lives. We can get really down about it, giving up, just putting off fixing the problem or we can detour around the problem , fixing the problem in a way we may not realize is the answer. Truth is, not only do the little trial size hair spray bottles cost $1, and the empty ones from the supply house or Michaels are $1 each, I actually made a deal as hair spray can be used for other things. If we are out of acrylic sealant for pastels, watercolors, hair spray will work. Win/win situation. We can get scared about our work, our relationship or we can look at all the options, to solve the problems. We can sit around waiting for this storm to pass or we can use the storm time to learn lessons, to grow, to come up with new innovative ideas. This also helps us learn we are smart. We are great, we can, we will. In doing so, we will also learn to dance in the rain.
Animal totems: Frogs- Frogs are water, toads are earth. Frogs have the ability to breathe both in water , on land. Toads will sit quietly blending in with Mother earth to be protected while Frog will jump long, high taking action before thinking sometimes jumping into more danger. This totem reminds us to stop, as toad does, think, wait then move. Toad will actually creep up almost although he can act fast when he needs to do so. Frog and Toad both enjoy the storms, the rain, remembering that these cleanse, clear out the junk.
